Default are they even manufacturing this?

it seemed that Elon Musk was allowing deposits on false pretenses... They didn't (don't?) have enough money to manufature the vehicle from what i read.

Default They were asking for a $500M bailout last Fall, iirc

to build a factory to create jobs building a car that is nothing more than a toy for the wealthy, seems like a great idea...

If VC funds wouldn't give Tesla money to build a factory, why should the government?

Default I did see a roadster driving around Boston last weekend

not a bad looking car. Hasn't GM already proved that electric cars don't work with the EV1?

Default they shouldn't, the tesla is a proven worthless endeavor

what with all the lacking battery technology, i mean the car weighs like 4 tons... lasts for 30 minutes on the track (or if you drive it hard)

i just don't see the appeal, aside from if you have a suitcase of hundreds sitting around..

Default I think the case could be made that >>>

most of the domestic folks and even Japanese companies are renewing efforts on electrical solutions.

The lack of development from some organizations over the last 10yrs, put a lot of them in bad situations....

That said....Tesla is committed to it...right or wrong...and with some of the recent developments, I will tell you it is high profile technology in the Washington....

They have and will continue to develop the technology not to mention patenting some of it..

The goal is to produce a 30K$ care that has realistic ranges....you need to take chances in developing solutions.....would you rather fund a start up, or GM who likes to misuse money...

If i have to pay my taxes and support something...i would rather fund the little guy right now...

Just my 2 cents
