Checking to see if there is an easy way to check the transmission fluid level on a 03 manual TT Quattro? Some online info references a yellow dipstick on the drivers side, however I can't seem to locate one anywhere.

There will be no dipstick for the manual transmission, to check the level the car would need to be raised (level) and the fluid fill plug would need to be turned out, level should be close to the plug. Only time I have ever done this is part of a fluid change, not a regular maintenance item.

Thank you for the quick response. Only asked because I noticed a small reddish oily puddle when I moved the car this morning, that I believe is transmission fluid. I'll need to get under and try to figure out where exactly it's leaking from.

The coolant is also red.
