2000 TT Just bought it I have a few questions PLEASE HELP!
I just bought a 2000 TT Quattro 1.8T and all the lights on the dash work except the needles do not light up. I am not sure what I should check. Also I was wondering how I would get the little display between my gauges to show my MPG, it says I can in the manual but it does not say how. Any help would be appreciated Thanks Guys!

Did you check your dimmer on the light switch for the needles not lighting up?
The right stalk has a rocker switch on the end that can go through the various functions for your display, one of them being MPG.

Some early tt models imported in the U.S. did not have the trip computer. Maybe some of the early models didn't have lit up needles but I doubt that. I know that with Vagcom you can change the way the needles light up. Always on when the car is on, on when the lights are on, off, etc... See if the dealer can change it for you, get Vagcom, or find someone on the list nearby that has Vagcom to change yours.

The needles on my guages are lit, but I am on my 3rd instrument cluster, replaced under warranty ages ago to fix the buzzing when dimmed.
