Not trying to cheap out on gas! Just trying to figure out if I could run 89 octane instead of 91 because most of my local gas stations carry 89 instead of 91?

The engine's control module will allow you to use 89 octane but HP, torque, and gas mileage will be reduced. If you do the math, you will save much more money by buying one less Starbucks a week.

I agree, I tried it years ago for 30 days. First on 89 and then back to 91. One 89 the car felt less fun to drive. Two the gas milage dropped significantly enough that the cost savings on the lower octane fuel were negated by the poor fuel economy.
