So, I bought this car from Momentum Audi yesterday. Very low miles for an 04. It spent its whole life in the Houston area and was always serviced at Momentum.

I was told that the original owner recently traded the S4 in for a new RS4. I was also told that he had tint put on, he bought 19" DTM rims, he installed a SSK and he had a special air-intake installed.

Now that I own it, I can verify the first three after market components. Momentum Audi took the air-intake out for CPO and then sold the intake. Oh, and there is a little badge/sticker on the top center of the rear window that reads Achtun!ng. I assume thats where he bought some of the after market stuff from.

The exhaust doesn't look or sound like stock, but one sales guy said it was stock and the other said it wasn't. How can I verify the exhaust?

Basically, does anyone know the history on this car? What brand SSK is likely to be installed, what type of rims are on there (they have no markings on them what so ever) and are there any other mods not already listed?

No idea about the rest of the stuff.. Achtuning is a shop up in Washington that sells audi performance stuff.. they are no more though and have been bought out by Hartmann.

The wheels are DTM Reps (probably from Hartmann) themselves.. very good wheels.

Think it's ok to track down the original owner and find out what brand after market components he's installed? I have his name, address and such.

I'm afraid that the engine has been tuned with the aftermarket intake and now it has the stock intake. Think that could mess the engine up?

She still makes noise on cold start ups too :|

The replacement of the intake won't affect you that much. It is not the reason behind a cold start.

If you wish to track the old owner down, that's your call.

I can't attend a GTG in Texas, because the car is now in Kansas.
