Default Axle shaft contacts spring perch on new suspension setup

I just had H&R Springs/Bilstein Sport shocks installed on an '03 A6 4.2, and I'm experiencing an issue that MikekiM@PureMS had described in an earlier post. That is, the axle coming in contact with the spring perch. Is there anything that can be done to fix this? The noise is worse when I have adults/more weight in the back seat.

Default Do those shocks have different perch grooves?

You'll need to raise the vehicle height by raising the perch groove.

Default This is a known problem on s6 avants......

Bilstein claims there is not application. Not sure about 4.2 sedans. Check the Bilstein application guide, which you can download from their website. I have found places that claim to sell S6 rears - while Bilstein says they may interfere with the drive shaft.

I hope your problem is easily resolved, but start here.
