Default Bypassing the stubborn pinch bolt...lots of pics

Didn't want the mess of cutting the bolt, didn't have the tools anyway so we bypassed it altogether. It takes two people to do this has ones has to steady the strut over the bottom control arm and the other had to stand on a pry bar to bottom out the drive line against the subframe, also you have to unbolt the sway bar link. The prying doesn't damage anything as long as you watch the cv boot and the brake lines. I didn't do a step by step as i didn't have time. I tried to hammer out the pinchbolt for hours and it didn't even budge. This works and the new springs and struts went back in easy. I would say had i known this i could have done the front in a couple of hours. i went with bilstein sports and eibach since this is my DD and i have clients in the car all the time so i can't have it too stiff with coil overs.

new bilsteins and eibachs, went in way easier than the old ones came out (had to wait four mos. for those danm springs. H&R and Eibach were both out of them last fall. Avants are so uncommon!)
