Although it is in the tail pipe, with coorelation to O2 readings via ECUx, it may be beneficial.

tailpipe readings are fine, distance doesn't matter, as long as there are no cats

When held relative to O2 readings, a decent idea of true A/F ratio numbers can be derived. The offset is generally linear.
