Join us at the Tapoco Lodge Resort http://www.tapocolodge.com/ on the 16th to explore the Dragon http://www.tailofthedragon.com/index.html , Cherohala Skyway and the Devil's Triangle. Then follow the road to the European Auto Fest http://www.euroautofestival.com/about.aspx at the BMW Zentrum automotive museum http://www.bmwusfactory.com/#/zentrum/ in Greer, S.C. on the grounds of the BMW Assembly Plant.
Test your driving skills and show your car on the 18th from 9 AM to 5 PM - Performance Center Driving
o Area 1 - Wet / Dry auto-X:
Driving 335s or 650 (TBD) through a coned
autocross course that combines normal dry
asphalt with a wet polished concrete surface.
o Area 4 - Performance Drive:
Drive an M5, around a large road course.
o Area 3B - Sports Handling w/ Timed Runs:
Drive the all new 335 around a road course
and try to post your best lap time.
o Area 5 - Off Road course:
Driving the X5 or X3, you will challenge the
capabilities of BMW's X Drive all wheel system.
o Area 6 - Match / Rat Race:
Driving the M3 6spd or 335 Steptronic, you
will race your opponent around a course to
see who gets back to the finish line first.
The 2008 EURO Auto Festival will take place on October 17, 18, and 19, with Show Day being Saturday, October 18. For more information visit http://www.euroautofestival.com/schedule.aspx
This is a BYOT event (book your own trip) we have no affiliation with any of these events or accommodations. This itinerary is a suggestion only and in no way should be considered an organized event. Participate at your own risk and liability. These are EXTREMLY CHALLENGING ROADS! This is a suggested route and not a race. OBEY ALL LAWS! Stay in your lane; don't cross the center line, try to pass, or push a slower driver in front of you. There are over 318 turns in 11 miles on the Dragon alone, hard drops and hills, most are blind. There is no shoulder and few places to pull off. If you can't drive safely, STAY HOME! If you decide to go, you and your passengers do so at your own risk and accept all liability for your actions and the actions of others both involved and not involved. Do not attempt it if you are unfamiliar with its hazards. Make sure your car is road ready. Don't forget your AAA card.

http://www.euroautofestival.com/about.aspx</a

I plan on participating in the car show again this year. Last year was a blast.

And this year (actually this week), my baby got new shoes.
I hope to see lots of Audi fans this year.

I'll be there as well. If the Audi is fixed I'll have that, if not, I'll steal dad's 135i =]
I'll be coming from asheville, potentially riding down through the back roads from here to tryon and then over, with the local Ferrari enthusiasts. I'll check those details and let you know what's gonna happen, timeframe, etc. I always love Euro =]

we go way back to SCAD days, my best friend was friends with him...
we've been to USGP a couple times together, a few other events as well, and obviously I've been to Savannah a few times. He's a great guy, very talented and dedicated to something he loves.
