Default Anyone got a lead on an AEB 1.8T engine (automatic)? Located in Charlotte, will travel
I just picked up a Passat sludge-victim. I need an AEB motor or A4/Passat block & I think any 1.8T head.

Default Have you already ran diesel in the motor to desludge it? or does it have bent internals?
Ertman has a good write up on desludging an AEB.

Default BTW there is a sludge A4 on charleston's craigslist for $3500...
fwd tho. He would probably come down more.

Default block can be any longitudinal 1.8t block. crank has to be auto (if the car is auto)
head should be aeb unless you're ready to do some minor modifying.
