Hi Mike...
We'll not be there to "compete". We'll be there to see what our car does, and demonstrate the manner in which it does so. Your Del Rio car will probably do very well and will likely make more peak horsepower than does the APR kit. However, I believe that the APR kit will prove to be a more appropriate "out-of-the-box" solution for most every enthusiast in terms of TTs that are driven for transportation and just plain fun!
We'll see you at AMS! It will be fun!

just fyi ... there are many Del Rio powered TTs running around . we have the uber 550WHP setup but
the smaller kits do run very well and make more power and run better than the APR kit . We might be a GIAC/AWE/Del rio/EVO MS/ etc etc but we also have done a few APR 1.8 and 2.7 kits .
see you there

Okay...
Mike,
There have been total of six TT 225 III+ kits installed thus far. Two of them are in Alabama at APR, having been installed there. One of them is ours. The other three are known to us. You did not install any of them. They are not even remotely similar to APR's TT 180 Stage III kit. The hardware and software are both very different.
Nonetheless, I reiterate that we'll not be there to "compete". We'll be there to see what our car does, and demonstrate the manner in which it does so.
It should be fun!

Fair enough... You didn't say TT. My point stands though. The 225 kit is quite different...
The 225 kit is quite different from the other 1.8 kits, and makes a bunch more power over a nicely wide powerband.
Take care. We'll chat next month at AMS.

Excellent! We'll look forward to meeting him...
Perhaps he'll enjoy seeing some III+ action. The "old" III kit is nice at ~280 crank hrsepower. The "new" GTI III+ kit, (~340 crank horsepower) is very nice if you don't mind a bit of torque steer on the FrontTrack cars. The lower compression, different factory internals, and different Stage III+ turbocharger allow for more power out of the TT 225 III+ kit, at roughly 360 *all-WHEEL* horsepower with pump gas on a DynaPack hub dynamometer.
It'll be fun to see what all these cars make on the Maha unit at AMS in comparison, and over what part of the power band its made. I'm not certain how Haldex will react on the Maha, since its rollers are not mechanically linked. We may find that shutting off the Haldex and measuring things in front is the way to go.
I hope we have time for a new clutch and a couple of other goodies in time for this event!
It'll be good to see you, and to compare our respective tastes in power delivery.
Stay warm and dry in the meantime!
