Lets see.......more details.........
V8 swap was done by 034 motorsports running there IIc standalone. I had them do the entire swap, because I come from a background that included black & white TVs, so wiring and electronics are not in my realm.
I have had the car for 13 years, and there has been a progression of mods. The motor being the latest.
-Front B4 radiator and hood supports allowing use of front mount radiator and A/C condensor, vs I5 side mount.
-Relocated ABS, B4 vaccum assist brakes master, vs. hydralic Coupe unit. Custom fabricate lines.
-Relocated AC dryer, needing custom frabicated A/C lines.
-S2 battery box under the rear seat and battery relocation. Factory.
-Custom fabricated motor mounts, to match up to coupe frame mount location.
-Tapped block with remote oil filter, thermostat and cooler, with custom fabricate liines..
-Installation of 034 EFI IIc with custom fabricated wiring and dyno tuned.
-New stainless exhaust, from motor to rear.
-Custom radiator to fit B4 radiator support and cross member, custom rubber hoses for V8, and heating system.
-Short lock to lock steering rack with custom frabicated lines. hoses.
-Custom fabricated aluminum intake from B4 airbox to throttle body boot.
-Custom stainless steel exhaust system from motor to the rear of the car.
I probably missed a few items. While the car was there I had KW V3 coilovers installed to replace the Koni/Eibach Ground Control coilovers.
Items which were done prior to the motor install. These were done mostly by me, with a little help from friends.
-S2 six speed transmission with S2 front axles.
-S2 front bumper modified by Wetworks to look like it does now.
-S2 rear bumper.
-B4 Euro, hi/h4 healights, relayed.
-S2 front turns and foglights.
-All lower black trim, painted to match the Alpine white.
-S2 5 bolts hubs and hub carriers from 94 model. Struts modifed to fit the hubcarriers.
-HR camber bolts.
-Front brakes are Porsche 996 calipers on RS2 carriers running a 323X30 A8 rotor. Write up in tech section on this sight.
-Rear brakes are UrS6 calipers, on S8 carrier, with a 280X22 drilled and bore New Beetle rotor. Write up in tech section on this sight.
-2Bennett solid upper front mounts with adjustable camber/caster.
-2B rear sway bar.
-S2 white main and Aux gauges.
-S2 steering wheels.
The wheels are BBS Advantgarde wheels, which have not been available for years. I like old school spokes. I have 2 sets, one street running toyo TR1s, and one track, running Michlein sport cups, and 3 spare wheels.
These were powder coatedy Worco.
Items to come. Not many left.
I have a V8 rear torsen diff, which has been installed in a AEC housing. I have the S2 rear axles, which are 108mm CVs, so that can be installed.
I have S2 Carbon fibre interior trim, doors, rear seat area, and right side of dash. None made for the center console area. Probably just go with satin black, unless I can find someone to make them.
I may have left out a couple of things.
Thank you for the compliments. I found the car I wanted 13 years ago, and have just been upgrading it since.
