Default Re: Racing fuel in LA area???

I visited the Unocal web site (www.unocal.com), then called their racing gas hot line and got some interesting info. Apparently they plan to make unleaded 100 octane fuel available to all west coast stations in the next year or so - so I was told. They said that 27 stations in Las Vegas now carry it. As for Northern CA, there are no Unocal stations that carry the fuel, an only one distributor who wishes $5/gal. The racing facilities, like Sears Point, Thunderhill, Laguna Seca have racing gas, but usually it is the leaded 110 or 140 octane. Rarely do the tracks carry the unleaded 100 fuel.

BTW - Thanks for the FAX on the wheel/tire info.

So far, the Unocal in S Pasadena, at the exact end of the 110 has it. The owner also owns a 76 in Brentwood that will soon carry it, and told me that there is a 76 in Redondo Beach somewhere that also carries it. And I have heard from AMS that there is a 76 in Irvine somewhere that also has it. But that is all the info I have right now.
