Default I'm getting excessive shoulder wear on my Eagle F1s (from brutal cornering). By increasing pressures

... to, say 38-40psi, will I really notice less wear? Or will the effects be negligible? I'm inclined to think the benefit won't be considerable.

BTW: I'm running 225/40/18s on 8.0" wide rims. Stock 225 TT springs and dampers, with a 19mm rear sway bar upgrade.

TIA

I'd say negligable difference since hard cornering is the main reason for the wear.

Default interesting.. i'm running the F1's 225/40/18 on 8" wide wheels and haven't noticed any excessive

wear, nothing out of the norm and I beat the crap out of my tires.

Default Your B5 is lowered, yes? Perhaps camber changes, benefiting the outside blocks. On the TT, lowering

... can throw camber >1 degree out of spec (and is non-adjustable in the rear without aftermarket arms). But this would even out the contact in hard cornering. So hmmm... maybe it's time for lowering... LOL.

Default I would agree with Gary that if hard corning is causing the wear then higher pressure

would not help much; although no doubt it will help. Also alignment has great effect on which side the tires would wear. If you had play around with the alignment that is off the factory spec, getting back to factory spec would help greatly.
