it should be possible assuming you nail the offset of the 19's just right -- i believe another poster on here (0700) claimed to have seen successful 255/30/19 setups on ET38 wheels. however, keep in mind that the margin for error on setups like this is *tiny* and all sorts of factors are going to come into play, some of which you will have little control over (e.g., minor variants due to the fact that the car itself is not perfectly symmetric). also, plan to spend some time playing with ride height and spring rates :-/
one final comment: if you're going to run a staggered setup, i'd try really hard to keep the rolling diameters as close to identical as possible -- 245/35 and 255/30 are *way* too different; running the fronts at 215/35 or 225/35 would be much more appropriate. alternatively, you could just go 255/30 all around. good luck and keep us posted on your progress :-)

et35 is BAD news, with wheels and tires that large.
That said, x-ricer is running 235/35's on 19x8.5 et35 front/ 245/35 on 19x9.5 et40 rear, but he had to raise the car up to stop rubbing. BTW, I you're not thinking of attempting any of this without coilovers. I ended up at et39 front, et44 rear with custom titanium brakes hats and a special front brake bracket to clear spokes.

get the right offset wheels and use the correct size tire instead of the 245/35 crap.
255/30's do fit in the front if you can get enough offset. The are several masters of the fender roll sporting 255/35-18's on the board.

does a higher offset (over 35) with 255 width fit inside the guards?
My 245/35-18 are barely legal as it is. They are just slightly out maybe 2-3mm from the guard when looking directly down over the wheel arches. And i only have about 3mm clearance to the suspension components on the inside. It is a legal requirement here that the tyres do not extend beyond the wheel arch at the top of the tyre. Ive seen some wide tyres on some of the tuners cars for show, some look like 265 rears 255 fronts, but they extend from the arch a whole heap. LLTEK RS4 look alike is a good example of these extreme sizes. I just want a little more rear end grip for my now tuned S4. Wow what a difference a chip, filter and exhaust makes to the S4. 245/35-18 break traction a little too easily for my liking. To be honest id be much happier with 265 rears! yeah yeah can hear you all now.. ease off the gas and i wont break traction.. but hey thats why i have a chipped S4... i want to use the loud pedal as much i can!.... seriously though. The car is under tyred when you consider your getting more torque than an RS4 and damn near the same peak HP. 255's are just enough for the RS4... yes i have driven one! The S4 is a better daily driver proposition, alot more lag in the RS4, the power comes in later and lasts longer, but the low/mid punch of a tuned S4 is much more enjoyable! |

cept a few reverse offset cars that get major po-po attention. Most of those LLtek pics are non-drivable rub-rub machines.
Maybe look for stickier tires as well. BTW: I modified my front and rear uppers for extra clearance. Totally agree about the RS4.

We're getting thinner titanium brake hats for more offset.
