A question about tire size on stock wheels

I have a 98 A4 with the stock 15" wheels and I'm in need of new tires. The Tire Rack web site doesn't really give me a whole lot of options in the OEM tire size (at least not in the HP/UHP category) and I was wondering if other tire sizes will work on the same wheels. I'd like to upgrade the wheels as well, but that's just not going to happen right now. Will a 205/50-15 work on the stock wheels?
