Hey all, just wondering if anyone knew if the 17" R28s were the correct offset for an 8.5" wide rim. I ask because a friend had emailed me about the offset, and had this to say:
"Let's see: stock 16x7 are E46. so the difference in width of the wheels is 1.5" or .75" added to either side of the wheel centerline. This becomes 19mm. The difference in offset between the two wheels is really 11mm. So from the math there is some difference (7mm)."
This concerns me since my A4 is in need of a new bearing at only 22K. It's going in the shop tomarrow...last thing I need is a dealer telling me no dice on the bearing due to my aftermarket wheels.
