Default Porsche 993/996 wheels on A4

anyone interested in this setup?

i'm having my machine shop make some unique spacers so that i can bolt up the 17" or 18" techonology wheels to the A4. yeah, they're different bolt circles (5x112 for A4 and 5x130 for porsche) so the spacers will be unique.

i found a place in CA that sells takeoff 993 twin turbo, 996, and boxster rims so it may not be that expensive to do (vs. an A!Avantgarde setup).

anyone interested, please voice (or post) your interest.

How much is it for the spacers? I would be interested in something like that.. I was looking at installing Porsche Turbo rims on my A4...

H&R will have an adapter for the exact application in the future. They will be one inch spacers that will change the bolt pattern from a 5x112 to the Porsche specs. They will cost 150 a pair.

Just out of curiousity, how much will the machine shop charge you for the custom ones?

Default Re: Porsche 993/996 wheels on A4 - H&R spacers...

just got off the phone with H&R.

they have spacers already...well, not in the states yet. they bolt onto the existing 5x112 hub with small bolts and allow 5x130mm wheels (porsche) with standard length ball-socket lug nuts.

the will retail for $149/pair (you need 2 sets) but there is another issue. offset.

Default Re: Porsche 993/996 wheel offset

I remember seeing that the offest for the Porsche wheels is something like 52mm.

I dunno, but if the wheel is 18x8.5 with 52mm offset and the spacer is like 25mm (roughly an inch) would that make the Porsche wheel, in effect, have a 27mm offset?

The logic makes sense to me but then again... 8^)

the offset on most P-car wheels is around 55ET...some are 52ET.
