Default Don't want to crash on the way to Tahoe!!

Okay, call me slow. I have read the recommendations for good winter tires. I have a 98QTip with the all weather pkg. It came with M+S rated 205/55/16. I heard the 8000s on the sports pkg are dangerous in the snow...how about my 205's? Planning to take first drive to/in the snow soon---advise. Thanks in advance. (at least I posted this in the correct forum

Default You should be fine, by Cal trans standards and perosnal confidence,...You MUST ALSO have a set of cables(4 wheels) , just in case of an R3 rating
