I would be really surprised if the dealer agreed to do this, but great if he will. Personally, I would buy a separate set of wheels/snow tires and have the dealer swap them out upon delivery.
Gary@Ronal.com has a good deal on some nice wheel/tire combos. Additionally, you might want to check the Tire Rack and Discount Tire Direct websites for packages. I also wrote about a similar question somewhere down below, just in case you want to read some more... Congrats and enjoy! STeve |

Dealer agreed to buy my stock tires back and install (at no charge) different tires of my choice. I'm getting a $75/tire credit. The Dunlop SP Sport 8000 is $101 on the Tire Rack website. pretty fair deal, IMO. I ordered from the Tire Rack the Pirelli P7000SS (225/50WR16) at $115 each and am having them shipped to the dealer ($51 shipping). I did this so i can have a snow legal tire while compromising as little dry pavement performance as possible. In California, during R-2 road restriction (i.e. chains required), 2WD vehicles must have chains, 4WD/AWD vehicles must have M+S rated tires or chains on 2 of 4 wheels. The stock tires on the sport package are not M+S rated... |

Wow! Congrats on getting the dealer to buy your tires back! I guess they're not all rotten....naah!
BTW, the Tire Rack (great place to get stuff, they should REALLY advert here) shows the SP8000 and the SP8000E together. The 8000Es run ~ $50 more than the 8000s. Still, $300 back from the dealer is a great thing. Way to go! Steve And you never did have to show them the "gun" in you pocket, didya Bugsy? ;-) |
