Default Need help deciding S7 or R7?

Ok this will be my first Audi - I have owned about 12 BMW's (3's, M3 to 750Li current vehicle) and a couple of Lexus's - anyhow I love the S7 - having mostly all silver or dark colors I want a white color vehicle - I love the Suzuka Gray color, the S7 if I went none exclusive would be Metallic White - I live in Florida and do mostly city driving with split of short highway drives - my dilemma is I am torn on ordering a Exclusive S7, loaded except for upgraded Radio and getting the Suzuka Gray Exclusive paint or just order a 2015 R7 pretty loaded except for DRC and upgraded radio. Also like the Carbon Optic package.

I have two kids ages 8 and 6 - so the rear seat for me is perfect in the 7 - but do I really need the R7!!

I torn on the R7 steering wheel since it is not totally round but love the 21" wheel option vs the 20's on a S7.

I have to be out of my BMW by Dec so I need to decide by next week because if I go with the R it is perfect timing.

So if money is not the object what would you do?

Your types of driving would not justify the extra expense of the RS7. On-ramp thrills are plenty high in an S7.

If money is truly no object then there's no reason not to go RS7. For most, the S7 is more than powerful enough.

S7 is fine...money is always an object.
Wait til you lose a couple of million in the stock market or you start getting college bills/wedding etc.
Most people cannot see the difference between an S7 and an RS7
I have an S7 and it fits the bill nicely.
Lots of compliments

I ordered the S7 with an optional color (Daytona Grey Pearl) and am thankful every day that I did. If you are sure of the color, it's worth the money, IMO.

As for wheels, I may be in the minority but trading off wheel well filling optics that you really only look at for moments a day vs. greater comfort and lower flatting potential from higher section tires that you drive hours a week is an easy choice. When I look at the wheel wells I don't see some objectionable gap; it does not look like driving undersized winter tires, it looks normal.

Good advice - I actually like the 20's better than the 21's for visual

If money is no object, it is a no brainer. RS7 is the fastest car I have ever driven. You see plenty of A7 & S7's around town and they are nice cars for sure...but if you like the feeling of beating sports cars off the traffic lights and eating cars for lunch on the highway, get the RS7. Make sure you spend the extra $3k on the built in radar and laser detectors though. I bought stock 20's for my winter sport tires and it is a nice rim. Just put on my factory ordered 21's and it looks even better.
