Order placed for my SQ5
On Friday I placed my order for a 2014 SQ5. Specs are:
TFSI engine. Euro ride height. 20" rims titanium look (21" not available for some reason but with the potholes in Chile probably best!), Glacier White, Comfort seats (necessary with the fierce summer heat) , full black interior with full leather, MMI3G but no audi connect in Chile (grrr), black/alu panels, side assist, ACC not available (grrr), full zenon plus lights, Euro trunk rail system, hidden tow hitch, flat steering wheel, black gloss kit, black rack rails, audi logos in titanium as per wheels, tinted glass pack, B&O, drive select, adaptive light, comfort key, and I think that's about it!!! Down here total was $87k! That's just the prices you pay down here! Delivery due September (was going to be August but I am up in States on holiday!). CANT WAIT!!!!!!!

Wow, nice ride !
It's amazing how many options you can choose.
The SQ5 looks like it's a blend of North American recipe but with european features.
Also, is it always that long for an order ? 5 months !!! I would change my mind over that time hehe

Thanks Chuck. I had to dig around to get these options as they are not listed as such down here. You are right about the mix between US & Euro. Happy for the low slung ride and TFSI motor. As for the long wait...I could have had it end July but as I am away for most of August I requested that it be September. I wont change my mind!!

I'm content with the 2014 model. I'll likely change it in 24/36 months. Cheers.

One major reason...I dont really want one of the first cars off a brand new production line in Mexico...or, if the SQ5 variant comes later on, wait for 12-18 months more for a new car to play with!

I'm not sure how the sales/delivery cycle is where you are, but here in Canada you could expect to be able to order the 2015's in May/June with deliveries showing up around mid-August.
When do you typically see the next model year down there?

Usually we get new models about 6-12 months after you guys. As an example, Audi Chile has only just got hold of its first showroom model of the SQ5! It's very normal to order blind down here!!
