Need winter tires and wheels for SQ5
Hi everyone,
As you can see I am new here and the proud owner of my first Audi. I just picked up a '14 SQ5 last Friday and being in MD, think it would be wise to have a winter setup just in case. I currently have the 21inch wheels and tires, but I'm thinking the 19's may be best for winter. I really like the look of the "peelers", but they are ridiculously expensive to buy through Audi and it seems no one has the reps in stocks from Hartmann. Can anyone give me recommendations on 19's for the SQ5 and whether they will fit the larger SQ5 calipers? Also, should I go winter tire or all seasons? Thanks in advance and sorry if this topic has already been beaten into the ground...

There are a few options now for the SQ5.
You can check TireRack.com as they have wheel fitments now. You can also hit up your dealer as there are some winter packages with OEM wheels.
Your price will vary and OEM will likely be more expensive.

Thanks Laakness. I just checked on tire rack and really didn't see any wheels that I liked. No other sites I have found even list the SQ5 in the dropdown to look for wheels that will fit.

Hartmann reps are the answer. Achtuning sells them. I like my 19" Hartmann TTRS reps winter wheels better than my 20" summers. Tire Rack drop-shipped the tires to Achtuning and they mounted them up and shipped them to my house ready to mount up.

For OE, have you tried...
For OE, have you looked at AudiUSAParts.com?--one of the internet parts dealers, aka Sunset Audi in Portland OR. They recently started listing quasi take off OE's on their website by model. http://audiusaparts.com/partlocator/...subcat1=208698
Might be worth a call to confirm stock and full set availability.
Also try this search on eBay, at least for the U.S.: Audi (Q5, SQ5) (OEM, stock, factory, takeoff) wheels. Thus: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trks...at=0&_from=R40 That will tend to filter out most of the junk/repetitive posts and get down to the OE wheels. Notice right now it should pull up at least two 19" "peeler" listings; for the S5 but that is the one other Audi from my own probing that seems to have the right factory offset match ups to the Q5/SQ5. Both are fairly aggressive as Audi offsets go, driven in the Q5's case by the SUV style pushed out fenders. You could also backtrack on the AudiUSAParts web site to their S5 listings, and maybe as a dealer even get on the phone with their parts people about any questions about real world swapability over to an SQ.
