Default Help an Audi and VAG COM Newbie please

Does anybody have a list of what can be changed in the C7 A6 using VAG COM? Ross Tech told me "With the newest cars like that there are no lists of coding numbers for performing tweaks, per se. Rather, use the latest version of VCDS and check the documentation in Coding, Adaptation, etc. to see what is available." They don't have a list, but do any of you guys?

Please help. I'm new at this. BMW was way easier.

Thanks.

Your best bet is to do a forum search. Lots of lists and other info with links to various sites.

Thats actually how I got all screwed up. I see so much info, and I have no idea what applies to me and what doesn't. I'm not a computer tech guy by any means. With my BMW I just told the coder what I wanted done and he did it in a few minutes. I don't have an Audi coder, so I'm trying to figure out how to do this myself, and truthfully, I think I'm in way over my head.

Did anyone get this one to work? I changed the settings as shown but still get the warning messages.

Disable NAV & Phone warning messages while entering data at speed

[5F - Information Electr.] -> Adaptation -> Set channel 2 & 3 to 250

I can confirm that it worked on my S6.

As a newbie to Audi and VCDS a couple months ago, I can say it looks more daunting than it is. Once you do a couple you get a feel for things. Now I have actually made changes to things on my own.

I recommend printing out that list and making the changes you end up making. Also isn't a bad idea to do it one at a time and write down what the original setting was.

No fear. There are 2 log files in c:\ross-tech\xxx (i forgot the name of the subfolder) that capture all changes you will be making. They are in txt format. CodingLog.txt and AdpLog.txt. But it wouldn't hurt to do a scan and backup
