2013 A6 Tranny TSB update done..Wow !
I just had my 2013 A6 in for the tech service bulletin (TSB) regarding the transmission. It felt slightly hesitant/jerky in the 1-2 shift up and sometimes chippy on the downshift in both sport and regular setting. I scheduled an appointment with the local dealer and gave them the TSB number which they verified by both test drive (couldn't tell since it was like a 3 min test) verified the TSB I gave them and one hour later it was good to go.
Shifts are crisp and decisive vs lackadaisical (first-second) almost as close as sport mode without the annoying holding gears like you are in a Carrera or Corvette.
Highly recommend..see below for the TSB info for those who are interested.

I see that it says 2013 model year, but does anyone know if it also applies to 2012? I can't say I noticed jerky shifts, but on occasion if I lift off throttle and the car doesn't expect it, it can shift in a jerky fashion, but it's not major and rarely happens. Still, if TSB applies to 2012 I'd get it done.

It would be very interesting to see a before and after VCDS readout on this software update.

Well, that's what a TSB is for, by definition, as opposed to a recall. If you want a TSB fix applied to your vehicle, you have to complain to the service writer that your car is having the problem that the TSB is supposed to correct.
