Default 91 200 Motronic control unit location? and other various electrical issues

Just getting the 91 200 up and running, Got a lot of funky things going on with dash lights, But first I need to shut off the break pad wear indicator. and when I jumped the wires at the tires it stayed on.

was going to jump it right behind the box, cant find it. not where it is on the 5000, and Bentley is not helping, I thought it was under the passengers foot well, but bentley said yellow 10 plug connector...T10h which I am not seeing.

Also have the air bag light staying on now, when I bought the car it would stay on for 30 seconds and then shut off, not anymore, Ideas

When I turn the High beams on, the turn signal indicator lights come on,

when I make a left turn signal light the right indicator light blinks, and vis-vers,

speedo bounces,

Other than that everything is good, But where is the Motronic control unit!

You probably have broken wires inside the covers in the wheel wells. Try jumpering the wires inside the engine compartment.

See Scott Mockry's wonderful website for instrument cluster wiring issues: http://www.sjmautotechnik.com/troubl...ting/elec.html

yeah I got the break light to go out. My previous jumper was just not jumping properly on one tire or another. I have the gauge cluster out right now, Why did Audi use 100 different types of screws/bolts/Allen/star drives to put that thing together!!! ahh.

But it appears like I most likely have issues in the switch. The Hazard lights work, but it flashes the high beam indicator light light, the headlights turn on the turn signals, the turn signals work properly when the head light switch is off, when its on, things get funky...I didn't go to school for engineering because I owned audi's prior to collage,

3 fixes for you the airbag light is on due to the clock spring most likely you need vag-com to clear the faults via the 2X2 connectors from the airbag computer you can find them behind the drivers side tunnel cover.
You can jumper the brake-pad warning at the cluster connecter see this for more details including a picture of what wires.

Fix for the Christmas tree lights and speedo bounce is to solder in one or two jumper wires

The motronic ECU is under the lower pillar cover
(held in by 1 + screw hidden in the carpet at the bottom) in the passenger side footwell info removing and dissembling the ecu can be found here http://www.quattro123.com/AudiECUupgrade.htm
