Carfax can only report on what is reported to them. Your repair shop doesn't/didn't report the repair to them so it will not show up.

As I tell everyone, Carfax is a good start but not always the whole story.

There was no police report. Insured called her company and admitted fault. Happened on private property.

Not sure about where you live but where I live accidents only need to be reported to the police when there is personal injury.

No.... I mean MY police report from the stolen car that CarFax never found information on. (See stolen car story above)

Pretty damning testimony for CarFax if they miss that a car was stolen and crashed.
