In fact Kufatec just started offering a suitable adapter. I've been in contact with Kufatec for the past 3 weeks, but unfortunately the adapter was not ready when I needed it.

Not only it is ready made, but it also costs only half as much as parts bought from Audi stealership needed to homebrew one !

I'm gonna order one now for a friend, as he also wants to do the conversion on his 2012 Q5 (he literally bought the car a week before Audi started shipping the FL model - talk about bad timing).

From what I can see they do not have the DC-DC converters and bulbs. I would rather buy fully armed units.

You have to check the Audi part # in ETKA.

Here are the # from my headlamps - those are Euro ones (no orange inserts on the sides) with no corner lighting.

This is not a complete headlamp
Ah yes, and the price of $ 650 for the pair is unrealistic

Looking for something like this

Exactly this is the only housing headlight.
Missing the following components
-gas discharge bulb
-ballast for gas discharge lamp
-power module for day driving lights
-led with heat sink

OK, here are some final pictures. I have to say, the car looks spectacular in person now. Those images just do not do it justice !

Headlights:

and tails:

The above image does not give the correct impression of the real color. On that image it looks as if red was more of an orange.

In real life, red is very dark, more like this:

Awesome conversion Elberoth!

I just acquired a 2011 3.2 q5 state side and I am looking to do this conversion. After looking through eBay, I had trouble finding the FL headlights with bulbs and ballasts. I made a quick list of everything I think I need for this conversion but please tell me if I need anything addtional...

I searched for the 2013 support plate but I am having trouble finding it. The part number listed in the OP is for 2009-12....is this correct??
L&R Support Plate

L&R Hose

Xenon Adapter

am I missing anything? Thanks in advance!
