I bought my 2013 C7 S6 new with 39 miles on the odometer, but it did not come from a dealer (more on the purchase process in another post). I was wondering how many times launch control was used.

Here is how to check using Ross Tech Vag-Com.

Connect Vag-Com and go into the automatic transmission controller. You will get a screen like this.



Then, select the "Adv. Meas. Values" on the lower left-hand part of the image.

Then, you can select different parameters to view. I selected a bunch, but the launch control appears to be measuring block 511 (and also 059, as launch control uses 1st gear). My counters read "1". I never used the launch control so someone had 1 launch before I got the car. Oh well, it could have been worse.



As you can see from the image, there's a whole bunch of things you can monitor. With the accelerator to the floor, it only reads 93%. I wonder if all cars are like this, or if Audi doesn't let the accelerator go to 100% during the break-in period. Anybody else want to check what this on their car.

Awesome find. I might have to check this later on. I have over 4k on the clock now so it must be considered broken in. Im curious about my throttle position value too.

Since I was looking for this as well, as a new 2014 S6 owner, thought I would say that it looks a little different now. At least for me it looks like this. Just search for launch instead of numbers.

Thanks for teaching us how to do that. I just found out that Launch Control was done 12 times on my 2014 Audi S6 that I just bought 3 months ago.
