Thanks to Germantoy (Nick S) and his photos, I have updated the G40 Cam Position Sensor Location Transition post (link below) with this info based on Nick's photos. (Note: I am still looking for more data points on this. If anybody has a AAN head, please check the style of the G40 mounting boss and the SN stamped on the head and let me know):

"UPDATE: Nick S. (aka "germantoy"), a well known, long time UrS owner, tuner and all round crazy guy, recently encountered the removable/add-on G40 mounting boss on a head he was attempting to refurbish. He was kind enough to provide some photos:

Here is the SN of the AAN, in this case 009990 which was stamped in Dec. 1992 (note that I said stamped, not assembled):



December 1992 seems very late. Makes me wonder what I have. My Oct. 1992 build UrS4 has AAN 008628 which was stamped in early Oct. 1992. My spare engine is AAN 009528 which was stamped in Nov. 1992. I wondering whether the modified heads came out of the inventory as First/In First Out (FIFO) or First In/Last Out (FILO). Can't tell with one data point.

If anyone has any MORE info regarding the dates of the transition from the factory add-on boss to the cast boss, I will add the info to this post (TIA). ;>)"
