Hi !

I have a A4 2.8q 95. And the climatronic was broken so i got a new used one but form an 98 A4. Now the AC dosen't work. Basiclly nothing works exept the display and it blows mor or less and i can change the temp. But nothing else. Any ideas ?

I Accessed the On-Board Diagnostic codes if my AC this is what i got:

05.3 Outside Air (Ambient) Temperature Sensor, front, sporadic open
06.1 (G110) Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT), A/C static open
07.1 (G109) Ambient Temperature Sensor at Fresh Air Blower, static open
11.7 Central Flap, sporadic block
15.5 Air Flow Flap, static block
22.1 (F118) A/C Refrigerant High Pressure Switch, static open

You can't use a 98 climate control head in a 95/96.If you search the posts you should find several posts on it.

The AC was redesigned for model year 97 so it will never work. You can't recode it either.

See if you can get the old unit repaired or find one from either an earlier Audi 90 or A4.
