Fog Light Swap, lighting changes writeup
Hey there, after getting my new Hoen H7 xenonmatch fog light bulbs in the mail I thought I would do a writeup on them for you all to see. The following video was pieced together from a few videos and was recorded using my phone, so sorry about the quality. I also did a walkaround of the lighting mods I did on the car. This included LED's in interior, LED license plate lights, as well as cool blue city lights.
Here's the video

Brozee,
If I didn't catch it in your video, what wattage H7 did you go with for the upgrade?

Really?
Can you check because I think stock is 55W and all the other upgrades are 100-110W. I don't want to risk burning a harness but I also don't want to go backwards.

They're probably 55W...
only the HID's run down at like 35W for the front illumination type major bulbs IIRC, albeit with their much higher output/watt. Most any std. halogen fog bulb is going to be 45-55W, or sometimes 65W with a Superbrite or the H9/H11 workaround for H11 standard fog lights. I would not do either 80 or especially 100W. Likely to toast not just the wires but even the connectors and eventually relevant relays or switches. BTDT in my younger days. It really takes a dedicated powered relay set up to run up at those wattages. I found 65W when available can step up the lumens nicely (about 50%), not risk the wiring or standard fusing, and not **** off other drivers. I still use them only in poor weather, rather than the incessant Toyota/SUV always on stuff. The A8 HID set up is already good for me, at least w/ the adaptives and cornering light features.
