Default '13 S5 Wheels 18" vs 19"

Guys,
According to the order guide, the '13 S5 comes standard with 18" wheels. Under options, one can order 19" wheels though. With regards to ride quality, what differences are there between these two sizes? Do the 18" wheels provide a more comfortable ride in city riving/highway in comparion to the 19" ones? Can you really feel the difference or is it just for the looks?

Go with the 18s and then upgrade to aftermarket 20's.
Will you notice the difference in ride quality? Yes
Is it drastic? No
It really all depends on how you want your car to drive.

When test driving cars before my purchase I drove cars with both 18" and 19" wheels. Difference in ride quality was negligible, and I went with the s-line (A5) with 19's.

Living in FL I would imagine it's even less of an issue as you have fewer potholes to deal with and warmer temps. Surprised the new S5 comes with 18's standard. All the S5's I have seen had 19's stock.

Audi is becoming more like BMW with every passing year. Now they're looking to make more by offering the 19" rims as an option under the similar auspices of 'potential rim damage from lower profile.'

I had an S5 for a short time and found the 19s to ride harder and were noisy over the bumps. Aesthetically, the 19s win hands down. If you live in a mild climate where the streets are smooth, go for it. I live in a horribly bumpy city where my soft A5 can be uncomfortable at times.

Yup, stay with 19'. Switching from 18-19, you will experience harsher ride (relatively, of course), however, it's do-able. I think 20 is a bit too much, it's a hell lot harsher + you will be watching out for every bumps on the road. I'm from New England area FYI.
