Default O2 Sensor Question

Hello -

It's been a long time since I've been on AudiWorld! After going Stage 2+, got married, had a kid, the modding-bug has been in hibernation for a while.

Well, onto more practical matter... In preparing for a run to the DEQ, I pulled the DTCs and Readiness info from my VAG (hardy har har):

17530 P1122 163
Bank 2, Sensor 2, O2 Sensor Heater Circuit: Open Circuit [sporadic]

17867 P1459 163
Sensor 2 for exhaust temperature -G236: implausible signal [sporadic]

17539 P1131 163
Bank 2, Sensor 1: resistance too high [sporadic]

17887 P1479 035
Brake vacuum system: Mechanical malfunction

So...... Part of Stage 2+ was piggy test pipes, which included relocating the rear O2's and some less than savory wiring from local indy. He's a great tuner, but he was pissed about the relocated O2's, and I don't think he wanted to extend the wiring, so I don't he put a ton of time into it.

FYI - B2 S2 O2 = Bank 2 Sensor 2 - Heated Oxygen Sensor

So long story short, I wanted to replace the B2 S2 O2 sensor anyway. Luckily, the NGK sensor I purchased actually comes with a long enough wire to reach the relocated bung, so that was a (fairly) simple replacement after some cussing trying to find where the B2 S2 O2 plugs into the harness.

After replacing the new B2 S2 O2 sensor, I was -floored- when I cleared & pulled the DTCs again, and -immediately- the B2 S2 O2 came up with the same "Open Circuit" fault. I drove the car around the block, and (as expected) the EGT S2 and B2 S1 faults popped back up. Which I was fine with, because I haven't done anything with those sensors yet.

So I'm about 98% sure I didn't damage the new B2 S2 O2 sensor as I've done this type of work before, and was super careful putting it in and running the wire. Is it possible that the B2 S2 sensor is sharing a common wire in the harness with the B2 S1 or EGT sensor, and the short with those sensors is causing the Open Circuit fault on the B2 S2 O2 sensor?
