Default Decided on ordering a 13 S4, what deals have you gotten?Hows

Hey everyone. I'm a 25 year old guy in NY and just started a new job two months ago. I need to get a new car and was originally gonna buy used, but ended up test driving a 2012 prestige s4 6 spd last weekend, and have since decided Im getting a 2013.
I've been looking around and seen some people have ordered their 2013 models and have gotten the price down to invoice +$500. For those of you who have already ordered your new s4, what deal did you get, and if you dont mind, what dealer did you go through? I'm trying to be armed with all of my research, and then submit my build order and my offer to all of the dealerships within 100 miles of me. I figure if I can tell them what deals others have gotten at specific dealerships, I might have a better of shot of getting the best deal.
So everyone knows, I plan on a premium plus, with mmi, sports diff, b&0 sound system, advanced key, 19's, stainless steel inlays, and rear airbags. Estoril Blue Crystal with the black/silver alcantara interior, or the nappa leather black/silver interior.... not sure yet. I'm gonna do a 36 month lease with 10,000 miles, because Im going to buy the car off the lease. Between the warranty now and when I buy it back, it'll be covered for 6 years 100,000 miles. Thats the best part for me, wont be my headache.

Not sure that telling the dealers what deals others have received will be a useful bargaining chip. Your idea about contacting all the dealers is not bad, but it may not be necessary. Check out the Amex-zag car buying program. Even if you don't use the plan, you can find out which dealers participate. They are usually the dealers that are most likely to give you the best price. Also remember, you can take your car in for service at any Audi dealership. BUT, many will not give you a loaner car if you did not buy from them. I bought my last 3 Audis from dealerships that were not local. BTW, there is more to consider than the cost of the car when you are leasing. Also, if your intention is to keep the car long term, you would be better off financially buying and finance the car from day #1. You can lease and buy, but it will cost you more in the long run

Look into the Audi Premier Purchase program. It's financing towards purchase based on the current lease rates, with the final month being a balloon payment.

I did this. My question lies with how the last payment works. I heard it can be financed as well. Is this true?

Problem with Amex-zag car buying program is that the 2013 S4 prices aren't available yet so it's definitely not even on the Amex-zag site.

Also trying to negotiate for $500 over invoice at my dealer.

If you intend on keeping the car I would recommend using traditional financing. Rates through a credit union can range from 1.5 - 4.0% (even at 72 months).

With leasing, it is common practice for the finance mgr to mark-up the money factor and acquisition fee. The acq-fee is lost money. I wouldn't recommend leasing unless you know the base levels. There are reasons to lease a car but it is not the best path forward for long-term ownership.

Use the truecar website to aide in your research. This site will give MSRP vs. invoice and average sales price. Pricing has not be released for MY13 but use MY12 as a reference.

Thanks for all the input guys! Yea I just dont want to be tied to an $800+ payment for that long. If I decide after 3 years I want out, and I can pay some money and get out. When comparing lease vs purchase though, it was only about 2 grand more to structure it this way, which in my opinion is worth it to have some room when I'm talking about a potential 7 year commitment. In any event, hopefully you'll see me post in a week or two that I placed my order.

And as far as people who already have placed their order, PLEASE fill me in on whatever deals/pricing you got, as I'm trying to do the best i can with a few dealers in the tri state area. (I'm in NY, about an hour north of NYC - Audi Danbury and Moheglan Lake Audi are my closest dealers.)

Yes, it would be refinanced at whatever the market rate is. You could also refinance that balloon through some other lender (e.g., local credit union), pay it off, or return the car.

A quick note to all those interested in ordering a new 2013 s4, I originally did a request on carwoo for a 2012 prestige, and when dealers answered me I started an email back and forth giving them some background on me and what Id like to do.

Well I just told the first dealer Ive been dealing with, that people have pre-ordered theire 2013's for a flat fee over invoice pricing, and he said if I want to place an order, he'll do it for $500 over invoice. JUST LIKE THAT!! NO NEGOTIATING, NO PROBLEMS, THAT WAS HIS FIRST OFFER! I thought I was going to have to haggle and haggle but it seems this dealer is very reasonable.

Im going to try and get the audi care package thrown in, and if I can get that maintenance package and get the car for $500 over invoice, that seems like a good fair deal to me and I'll be placing my order this weekend I believe.
