New S4 owner questions about customization etc.

Hi. Just picked up a 2010 S4 (fully loaded) this weekend. I had a few questions. 1) Center cup holders, can this be replaced with a storage unit of some kind from audi? (That is what I did on my 2001 bmw 330i) 2) I have the official front place setup for Ontario. Can this be removed/replaced by me with the euro/no plate frame? Did this on 330i for 12 years, police got me once, total charge 1 cent. Ya, it put no value on ticket so they just processed it as 1 cent. Looks MUCH better, trust me! 3) It speaks in manual about filling windshield washer fluid container, but on my car the body of it is covered by a nice large black plastic part that runs the entire width of the car. So how can I tell how much is in the container? I can only see the filling lid, the 'filter' part makes it hard to see inside. Only real customization so far was to convert ashtray into change holder, pop out insert and place felt inside. Much more to come though. Glen Lalonde www.binarysearchtree.com

I'm not aware of anything to replace the cupholder area. As far as the license plate is concerned, there are 3 different configs. Your car came with a filler plate. It is either a straight plate or a straight plate with a rectangle in the middle to mount a front plate. These are interchangeable and only held on with 2 screws(torx?), When you remove the filler plate, you expose another horizontal plate made to mount an european license plate. This picture shows what is under the removable filler plate.. IF you look at my avatar, you can see the straight filler plate, which I had painted,

Thanks for the info, I'm not sure where those two screws are but will take a look. So, I guess that horizontal no plate piece(not even euro plate) is what I am looking for. You DID NOT need a front plate in quebec canada, so use autotrader.ca and you can see all the cars without any front plate and a nice piece in the front. Possibly I can order from Quebec if needed.

You can specify what you want. Or just tell the dealer that you want the straight filler plate and want them to swap it if the car you get has the other type. Otherwise, you will pay over $100 US for a replacement filler plate.
