What year is your car, there has been numerous attempts at LED's in the city lights and it has only worked a few times, and when it has it has been on a 04 A8. I recently swapped mine out for some cool blue xenonmatch's and have no code whatsoever as they are the same bulb as the stock one just a bit brighter with a blue'ish output.

Have you actually put in the LED's and had them work good w/ no code. I'd be surprised if you don't have an 04 though... As for the license plate lights I've had those as LED's for almost a year now, as long as you get the polarity correct they work perfect. Mess up in the beginning and the license plate lights won't work for about an hour.

The ebay honk kong license plate warm-white LEDs on mine needed 2W resistors piggy-backing on with solder. Without these they would turn off and error message.

I found that for the purpose of errors, they are treated by the car as a pair.
Even if only one has a 2W resistor (of the ohms for 2W at 13v) then there is no error.
The same happens if one old incandescent is left in one of them and LED in the other.

If I was doing it again, I would use 2w resistors but only burn 1w on each one to keep them cooler.

The license plate LED's I got didn't need any additional resistors or anything. I got mine from tunerdomes.com for about $30?

I wasn't looking for a lic plate LED upgrade but one of my lights was broken. I got a pair from ECS and they work fine, no codes.

They are insanely bright and will probably add a little back up light too but haven't tested that yet.

A8CT please take pictures from somewhat close and a bit further away. I have LED's from tunerdomes.com and they work very nicely. It is a small board with 4 led's on them which fits in the existing housing.

Ask for a refund then buy from a us seller. That's what I had to do after 2 weeks of not receiving my product. The seller actually told me he did not have them in stock.

The lights once installed are pretty bright, a little too bright in my opinion. They refract light of the bumper chrome trim (worse if you have a chrome plate frame), which sucks.
