Default Is It Possible To Exchange The Steering Wheel?

Hello again to all of my fellow Audi-philes!
I have placed an ED order for a 2013 A6 with the Prestige and Sport packages. As many of you may already know, the steering wheel offered with the US Sport package is the plain 3 spoked wheel with smooth leather. In Europe, they offer an S Style 3 spoked wheel with the S brand and textured leather on the wheel (See image from Audi's websight below). I would much prefer the sportier style and feel of the S Type wheel in my A6, so, that brings me to the question...

Does anyone know if ti is possible to exchange the US sport wheel with the Euro S Type wheel? Can you buy one and will if function properly in an American car? If so, any idea on what the cost might be?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Check over on Audizine. Anthony changed his wheel and listed the vendor.

No idea on the cost. Probably somewhere between $500 and $1000 if it has a air bag. Contact the vendor for compatibility and pricing.

Anthony bought the matching shifter too.

They have some nice R8 carbon fiber, flat bottomed wheels on eBay for $3000-ish.

I think the air bag itself is around that price.

Do you have to buy another Airbag? The new steering wheel being discussed looks to be the same size as the one that comes with the sport package.

You are just buying the wheel & re-using your existing airbag.

So the cost is "New" Steering Wheel + "Existing" airbag + Labor

Give the folks over at Europrice a call. They do a great job with supplying OE European parts and have experience with steering wheels swaps. It is really expensive to swap steering wheels, though.
