Default How do I access the turn signal stalk after removing steering wheel and airbag?

So I've done about as much research as I can trying to figure out how to strip down my steering column piece by piece to get to the turn signal stalk, and have of course tried to do so myself. I can remove the steering wheel and airbag no problem. My hang up is the plastic covers that remain on the steering column that are covering the turn signal stalk. I am so close that I can taste it, but I obviously don't want to break any plastic so I had to give up. Has anyone done this for a C4 100? I understand that there is a great DIY article by Boston Driver, but that is for an A6 and has a different housing. Thank you for your help!
