Default S5 Summer Tires in the Rain

Guys,
For those of you driving an S5, how do the summer tires perform in the rain and/or heavy rain?
I know that they are excellent in the dry and know that they logically cannot/shouldn't be used in the snow. Just wondering about rainy situations.

They are great in the rain. Last summer I drove 3 hours on the highway through the worst downpour I had ever seen in my entire life (I mean it, literally the worst - we were getting the fallout from Hurricane Irene), during nighttime where I could not see more than 20 feet in front of me (and was afraid to pass trucks because the visibility was so bad I couldn't see if there were curves ahead).

Despite that, the tires were no issue and the least of my concerns. Read this if you want general information on why summer tires are best in dry and rain, far better than all-seasons:

My Michelin Pilot Super Sports are tremendous in the rain too! Utterly inspire confidence...

One of the advantages of running summer tires in the summer is that in general they actually perform better than all-seasons in the rain. Of course that's a very broad statement, and the actual capability of your tires depends very much on factors such as wear, tire pressure, and air temperature. For example if it's below 40 degrees and raining summer tires can be quite squirrely. But in general, it's true.

I have the S5 Pirelli Zero tires 5 spoke parallel wheels on my A5 car. Does anyone know the recommended PSI / tire pressure for these wheels?
