that's good news about the heated seats thing. we found a fix for the bluetooth thing. the only sketchy thing is remote start. And yes, I agree with you on the driving factor. That's why we have chosen it over the Lincoln MKX. If the Lincoln Drove like the Audi we'd get it.

My dealer does remote start and said it does not void warranty because it is dealer installed. Apparently there is guy who has figured out how to modify the remote on adv key cars and install the remote start All the dealers in Northern NJ
use him. I'm still a little concerned about warranty. Anyone have info on that?

wow, that is actually really good news. Even if there is some void in warranty, it was Audi's fault, so they can't do that. We are in Massachusetts unfortunately, is there some way to find out if he could pass that info on up here? Or at least give us a tip? It sounds really promising. I don't know if there is some way to contact him to do it up here or if there is someone else, but obviously someone has figured it out.

Yes, as they are two different adapters and most smart phones these days are smart enough to establish multi-point connections and switch in between audios.
Has anyone her actually tried this? I don't see how the iPhone/Android phone will automatically switch to Audi Hands-Free bluetooth while it's connected/streaming to the A2DP bluetooth device. It can only connect to one Bluetooth at a time.

Really? Odd because my Android, Blackberry and friend's iPhone all works fine with multi-link between the adapter to my car's handsfree, it automatically switches to phone if it's in use and pauses the playback.

Yes my Droid Razr automatically pauses the music play and go to phone call mode when i receive a. All.

But i don't think it can connect to the Audi handsfree Bluetooth when you receive a call while its connected to another Bluetooth device streaming music. It will switch to call mode but not through Audi handsfree.

I'll try this later to confirm. I'll stream music to my Bluetooth headset. Then call my Droid Razr from another phone and see if it auto coonect to the Audi Handsfree Bluetooth.

Remote Start - I can't understand why German cars don't have this. Remote Start is an optional item on the 2013 Ford Escape, a car that is much cheaper.

I think I know what's going on.

A lot of times A2DP devices HAS a handsfree profile in addition to the A2DP. You need to go to your Bluetooth devices and call up the profile settings (this varies from devices) and uncheck/disconnect whichever profile that's not suitable for that device, while you are connected to the adapter.

See in my case my iSkin RX supports BOTH A2DP and Handsfree. Upon first connection the phone connects both to the RX and drops the connection to the Audi. I just go to Bluetooth settings, hold and press the iSkin RX then "disconnect Handsfree", then click and hold Audi and "connect handsfree". Volia! It maintains A2DP to the adapter while keeps handsfree with the car.

Ah, that makes sense now. Thank you.

Do you have to do this procedure everytime your enter your car? Or does it remember to auto connect to both devices, a2dp to iSkin and Handsfree to Audi.

good to know the A2DP works....but again, any news on that guy in New Jersey for the remote start thing? I'd be really interested in that and maybe if I could have his contact info somehow? We want to explore this because any other method would void the contract and as a result not be worth it.
