Wind Noise - Service Bulletin
I had some wind noise so I brought my C7 in and told them about the service bulletin. My service advisor called me after some research and told me it was an 8 page bulletin. Got the car back today, will update as soon as I get it on the road.

Does the work order has the bulletin number, I'm taking my car Thursday as it feels wind noise coming from driver side mirror or window may not be closed tightly. Let us know what they did if listed on order.

It has reference to whistle or high pitch but not sure if TSB addressed that. I have service appt tomorrow and will update on outcome.

This is a known problem with the A6 and the dealers know what to do. It entails removing the door panel and putting some insulation or something inside where the side mirror meets the door.
I had mine done several months ago and it improved the quietness dramatically. that said, even after the "fix", there is still a noticeable wind noise from the air flowing around the mirror. It probably would not have noticed this, except for the fact that my 2012 A6 is "noisier" than my previous 2008, 2005 and 2002 models. The 2012 mirror is a different shape than the earlier models and I am sure this is a design problem. Bet it gets fixed on ssequent models.
Again, the current noise (after the fix) is not at all that bad, but it is still definetly noisier than the earlier models. For $60k, it ought not to be there at all.
