Not that it helps now, but there is no point in disconnecting the battery to work on the airbag system. Shutting the key off is enough.
Are you using VAG-COM or something else? Following the directions on the Ross-tech site?

Oh, I was under the impression that I should disconnect battery whenever the airbag is unplugged.. anyways.. I'm using an legitimately activated copy of VCDS-Lite.. Car was running fine up until the point where I had to change my ignition switch.. Is there a possibility that my throttle body is cooked? or my ECU? I have followed the directions on the Ross-Tech website exactly.. The only thing that could be stopping it I guess would be the codes?

All codes must be cleared prior to adaptation. Other than that, I'm not familiar with the lite version and its capabilities.
But on the battery/airbag thing: no. Makes no difference.

That's mainly the problem I'm having I guess.. the P1545 comes back immediately after clearing.. which makes me think the valve controller on the TB is Kaput?

Hard to imagine it was fine prior to the airbag issue though. Weird.

I know, that's why I'm stumped. I did some research and found that the p1545 code is common after an unhooked battery.. which is why i wanted to do the TBA to begin with. But since the code keeps coming back wouldn't it be impossible to do the TBA anyway? How would I keep the code from recurring so I can to the alignment?

Clear the code and right away perform TBA? Otherwise take it to a good Audi shop, perhaps te dealer and ask them to perform it for you.

I have tried that, and it still does not work. The code comes back Immediately.. like within a second. The only way i can get it to say anything other than error, is to actually start the car, then shut it off and try to TBA. And it almost looks as though I might have to do that.. too bad it's running too poorly to even drive, I'll have to have it towed.
