So what kind of deal on pricing did you make with the dealer before placing the order for a 2013, and what is your general location?

In March 2012 S4s were deep discounted. Not a mainstream seller. I got a lease on a 2012 deep discounted A4 Prestige S-line. The factory marked them down. Not many takers for a $48,000 A4.

S4 makes no sense in Metro NY. Plenty of power for practical use and the 8-speed Tip is big + over my 2009 A4 6-speed.

At $4.50 a gallon I don't floor it.

Technically there was no deal... The order was based on the 2012 prices and as per the dealer, 2013 prices will not fluctuate that much (maybe between 500 to 800) and I did not sign any paper so if they come with a totally different price I can simply cancel the order...

Here in Texas they are selling 2012 models fully loaded to make more attractive.... As a A4 P+ with S-line package, something that usually is just offered on the Prestige.

Gas here is "still" @ $3.65 but I think it will get worse...

Even though is still cheaper than 4.50 in NY

Prestige w/ s-line = $46575
S4 P+ = $52575 as mentioned
