Oi Fabio! Tudo bem? Visitei ao Brasil para trabalho nove vezes. Desculpe, meu portuges nao e otimo.
I like the looks of the CC, but I just didn't see myself buying another <300 HP VW. I don't 'need' more power, but I wanted it and absolutely love the looks of the B8 audis (A4/S4). Regarding transmission, I think you may like the DSG 7-speed transmission. I'm not an expert, but it is a 'manual' transmission that just doesn't have a clutch pedal. The DSG has two clutches, one for odd gears and one for even gears. I drive in manual mode all the time and use the paddles or gear shifter. You can also use the paddles when in D or S mode temporarily and then the DSG will go back to 'auto' mode after a few seconds if you don't shift again and it wants to be in a different gear based on RPMs. The die-hard manual drivers will only be happy with a stick, but for commuting traffic and a good amount of sportiness the DSG is great for many drivers. Post away with questions, read through the S4 forum, send PMs, etc. You have time to research. You may as well know the pros and cons and then decide which car you really want and which transmission.

Again, you have to add $2000 for the S-line he specified for the A4, whose base price should be rounded up to $43K from $42,800, not rounded down to $42K. I know, this is hair splitting.

OK, I just don't get it. Your topic line and quote above mention S4/P+, but you are quoting the price of an S4 prestige. There is $6700 difference between a P+ S4 and a prestige S4. An S4 P+ is around $48K, which much closer to your A4/prestige/S-line configuration.

obr! See if the dealer has an S4 for you to drive. Even if it doesn't have all the options you want, you'll get a good feel for the model. From there, if you decide you want it, you can start figuring out what you want/need and what you don't want and then decide to shop dealer lots or order new and wait.

Keep in mind you can chip the 2.0L for less than $1k and end up with more torque than a stock S4.
