Default Pics- A7 calipers painted and decaled

I recently did this to my Q5 a few weeks ago (posted pics in that forum) and I decided to do it to my A7 as well. I am very happy with the results and I think it gives the car a nice added finish without being too aggressive so to speak. Here are some pics.

Nice job.

One of my favorite colors for stock calipers. Dresses them up without calling a lot of attention to them. Hides brake dust too.

I'll be the first to ask... what kind of paint and did you clear coat? I've been using regular glossy black Krylon on my calipers for years with good results.

I used the G2 system without a clear coat. It's a great product and made specifically for this application with hi-temp properties up to I believe 1000 degrees. The decals are hi-temp vinyl and I got them on ebay.

Default painted calipers

I just did the high temp decal from e bay. Now I want to paint my calipers. Yours look great. I can not decide what color, I was leaning towards red with silver logo rings . The car is Daytona Gray, I don't want it to be to flashy.

One kit will do four calipers. It's epoxy based so you do have to have everything ready before you mix it.

I mixed half in a separate cup when I used the kit. I didn't want it to set up before I got it applied. Get a second brush in the plumbing section at the hardware store. The car is supposed to sit for twenty four hours for a full cure.

Are these stickers or did you stencil? If they're stickers, where did you get them? I love the red rings... Thanks
