Service interval reset problem

I've got an interesting problem when trying to reset the service interval on my W12 -06. It says i have a gateway coding problem, and won't let me do any coding to the instrument panel. I can code the ECU, i can read and reset fault codes from all control units including the instrumet cluster Any idea what's the problem? I managed to reset the service interval a few months ago, but now it won't let me access the instrumet cluster coding with the guided SRI function.

No coding has been done to the can gateway between the two services.

The only coding i've done to the car is put on the battery meter, oil-leve-display for the MMI, and the engine-pre-heat option for the HVAC panel, shouldn't affect the can gateway in any way AFAIK, or could this be the issue?

Tough one of the control units report a coding failure, but as i remember, it reported it already before the last service reset.

I'll take a list of fault-codes for all control units and put it up.

Took a DTC scan on the CAN gateway (19).

Three trouble codes, worng codin was one, the second was media-player position 2 no contact, and then a third of a broken optical bus.

And then no contact to the instrumet cluster i got from the central electronics module... this could be the culprit?

I've tried everything, disconnected the battery, fuses for the cluste and so on...

Wonder what causes this....

And another thing i noticed, the car is draining the battery faster than my charger can supply (3,6A)...

Didn't manage to get all the DTC:s here, but most of them are totally irrelevant...

I'm thinking the broken optical bus is a big part of the problem.
Might explain the no contact....

But i don't think the instrumet cluster, ECU nor the can gateway are part of an optical bus. If i have understood right, the optical bus is only for the entertainment system (MOST bus).

I put the coding back for the MMI system as it was, but no help.

I could recode the CAN gateway, if I only had the coding list for it. Ross tech has lists for the A8 4E (and many other cars), but not for the can gateway...

First place I looked when I saw your post.

Was hoping that there might be some hints in VCDS/VAG tool...

I've also got the factory service manual (Audi Service Manual v10) for all audi cars, and access to EVERYTHING a audi workshop has, but just don't know how to find the gateway coding stuff...

Here's a full scan of the car's faultcodes.

The problems are probably in the gateway unit that it can't contact the instrumet cluster.

The question is, WHY can I reset faultcodes, but can't reset the serice (doesn't both functions require communication via the CAN gateway)?
