Default Climate control issues (hot/cold) - same time?

I have a 05 A6 with the 4.2 and recently starting having issues where the 2 outer dash vents blow hot air and the 2 center vents blow cold. The only way to correct the issue is to turn the car off and open the passenger door to "reset?" the car. This usually corrects the issue. Today the issue happened twice and am leaning towards taking the car in for service.

Anyone run across something like this before?

Thanks

I had the same problem. There is TSB for this problem. Check the below thread out.

The TSB for this issue is in the HVAC section of the TSB library linked in my signature.
