Default Suzuka Gray Avant - now with moAr mods

My Suzuka Gray A6 Avant got a huge make-over!

- BBS RS-GT (Forged) 19x8.5" wheels w/+32mm offset
- 255/35/19 Bridgestone Potenza Pole Position RE970AS
- H&R Rear Sway Bar
- KW V1 Coilovers
- Painted the orange corner markers

I haven't had a chance to really test the handling yet as I had my 4 previous tires/wheels and old suspension in the back, so I really didn't want to get on it around any corners with all of that stuff in the back. I'll update this thread in the next couple of days with impressions on the handling once I get a chance to really get on it.

Anyways, here's a couple before and after pics:

I just got back from a test drive. These coilovers are absolutely perfect for me!

Short version:
I can't tell a difference from the stock suspension, that is, until I turn!

Longer version:
What I loved about my car in stock form is how comfortable and luxurious it drove. It felt like I was riding on air with the stock suspension. That was great and all for when I drove in a straight line, but as soon as I would turn or go through some turns/twisties, it felt like the leaning tower of Pisa with how much body roll it had. I really hated the fact that I had to go a lot slower through turns without feeling like the car was going to tip over. My biggest concern with going with any coil over system was that it was going to compromise the luxury ride factor for performance. The nice thing about the KW V1s is that I really don't feel as if the ride quality was comprised at all. The ride quality really doesn't feel that much different in normal driving, but it does feel like it's planted a lot better than before. It especially feels planted through the turns and twisties, but I also have to give credit to the H&R rear sway bar for that, too. The car just feels very planted and solid through turns (not anything like before with the stock suspension).

I don't want to give the impression that this setup now feels like a track-ready GT-type car. I'm not going to be tracking this car or anything like that, so I really didn't feel the need to go with a more advanced suspension system (BTDT). But if anyone is looking for a coil over system that will make an incredible difference on the street with stability and cornering, I'd highly recommend this suspension.

I now feel that I can lose minivans in the corners lol In all seriousness though, having gone Stage 2+ and now with these coilovers and rear sway, I feel like this car finally now has the perfect blend of power and handling, without sacrificing the luxury feel!

Can I ask where you bought the H&R rear sway bar from?
