Default B7 Factory HID compatibility issue with aftermarket LED

Hi,All!
I'm new to this forum and my issue may have come up a couple times previously but I have to ask...
I own a 2006 A4 (red)T, which in this year came with factory HID headlights. I really want to update the car with LED. Unfortunately, there are no factory LEDs competible with this year because of the factory HID system. So my only choice whould be the aftermarket HID/LED headlights.I can have the headlights installed and I heard that they would function just fine however, an error message would popp up on the dashboard saying "headlights out".
I spoke to Audi, and they would not reset the computer if aftermarket headlights are installed.
Is there any way to solve this problem? Could it simply be reset or would it reappear time to time again? Let me know what your thoughts are... I hope someone has the knowledge here!
I want those LED's real bad!!!:-)
